In addition to these weekly events, however, Greektown also hosts other popular poker games like Limit and No-limit Texas Holdem plus a whole lot of different Omaha games.

Island Resort and Casino Poker Room

This award-winning poker room hosts regular games and tournaments from Wednesdays through Sundays every week. Live poker games are available pretty much anytime during the following normal poker hours:

• Wednesdays and Thursdays: 6:00 pm to 2:00 am
• Fridays: 10:00 am to 3:00 am
• Saturdays and Sundays: 4:00 pm to 2:00 am
• Special Tournament Saturdays: 10:00 am to 2:00 am

Just ask the poker room manager to set a game up for you.

The daily game and weekly tournament schedules at Motor City’s poker room tend to change from month to month so you’ll have to check the casino’s official website first before planning your visit. 5. Fridays

• 12:00 nn: $35 +$5 = $5,000 worth of starting chips, 15-minute levels

6. Saturdays

• $70 +$10 = $6,000 worth of starting chips
• 20-minute levels for both

7. Sundays

• First and third Sundays of the month: 12 nn, $110 +$10 = $10,000 worth of starting chips, 20-minute levels
• Second and fourth Sundays of the month (Deep Stack): 12:00 nn, $220 +$20 = $15,000 worth of starting chips, 30-minute levels
