Between Infinity War promoting an extinction level movie event (hence the opening) and Deadpool 2 ramping up the irreverence (Peter has his own Twitter account), promotion for Solo honestly looks a little too ordinary now, despite the Star Wars name and regardless of final quality. Andrew - Fan from the UK, here. WB have shown themselves to be reactionary, to their own movies and others (i.e. the MCU). My question is, do you think seeing the execution of Infinity War, and its success, will lead WB to make more changes, or will they stick their current course? My view is, their current slate may do well, but will never be an event like Justice League was supposed to be. Martin Jeffries...

Who Can Catch Art Papazyan In WPT Player Of The Year Race?

poker tournaments san diego  :: SafeClub.com - Safest Online Poker Site

Art Papazyan’s rise to poker prominence is the dominant storyline from Season XVI of the World Poker Tour. Via wins at WPT Legends of Poker and WPT Maryland, Papazyan carries a comfortable lead into the last two events of the season. The WPT Bellagio Elite Poker Championship and Bobby Baldwin Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada offer two chances for the price of $10,000 each for the POY contenders to take their best crack at Papazyan.

Papazyan sits on a mountain of 2,450 points on the leaderboard — 1,200 for each win and 50 points his cash at the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown.

The WPT Player of the Year points formula states that once a prize pool reaches at least $4 million, 1,400 points become available for the winner. Only three events reached that threshold in 2016. Two of them were $10,000 buy-in events,? with the L.A. Poker Classic and Five Diamond Poker Classic holding honors.

The points system for top-10 finishers in a $4 million prize pool is as follows:

  1. 1,400
  2. 1,200
  3. 1,100
  4. 1,000
  5. 900
  6. 800
  7. 700
  8. 600
  9. 500
  10. 400

Assuming at least $4 million is in the prize pool for the two Las Vegas events, below are the rankings for the chances of the players chasing Papazyan to usurp...

These first couple paragraphs I summarize why poker is perceived as ' hazardous'. Below, beginning in the third paragraph, are my safe recommendations (10+ years in this wild trade). In July 2010, HR2267 was presented and since then many other costs to regulate poker by Federal U.S. government were promoted. None have actually passed the Feds yet however state federal governments New Jersey, Delaware, Nevada and Pennsylvania so far, have actually penned poker legal online. When a Federal bill eventually passes the capacity, Senate, and signed into law by the President, totally legal online poker, licensed and controlled in the US, will be right around the corner and not merely by a few states on a state-by-state basis.

5 Card Poker Rules

Five Card Draw Rules

5 Card Poker Rules

A brief background

If you’re a beginner who’s looking to get into poker for the first time, then Five Card Draw is the perfect game for you. Its rules and mechanics are not only easy to learn, they also serve as the foundation for those of practically every other five-card variety of poker – including the widely popular Texas Holdem – you’ll ever come across.

The basics

Five Card Draw is played using a single deck of 52 cards. Up to eight people can play on paper, but in reality, most games only allow a maximum of six players because any more could cause the cards to run out prematurely.

The objective of the game is the same as with pretty much all kinds of poker: to win back your bet along with all the other bets in the pot by having the strongest five-card hand in the bunch – which brings us to the next section:

Hand rankings

As the name implies, Five Card Draw uses five-card hands, which are listed below from strongest to weakest:

  • Royal Flush – five consecutive suited cards starting with an ace, as in Ac Kc Qc Jc 10c
  • Straight Flush – same as a royal flush but starts with a king or lower, as in Kh Qh Jh 10h 9h
  • Four of a Kind – four cards of the same rank plus a fifth kicker card, as in 8d 8h 8c 8s 4c
  • Full House – three cards of the same rank plus two cards of the same rank, as in 7d 7c 7s 3c 3s
  • Flush – five non-consecutive suited cards, as in Jc 8c 6c 5c 2c
  • Straight – five non-suited consecutive cards, as in Kd Qc Js 10h 9d
  • Three of a Kind – three cards of the same rank plus two kicker cards, as in 10d 10c 10h 4s 2d
  • Two Pair – two sets of two cards of the same rank plus a fifth kicker card, as in 9d 9h 7c 7s 3d
  • Pair – two cards of the same rank plus three kicker cards, as in 8d 8c Kd 10s 6c
  • High Card – five random cards with at least two different suits, as in Kd 10c 7d 5s 2s

Posting blinds and antes

As with most varieties of poker, Five Card Draw also requires players to place an initial bet – which could either be a blind or an ante – before dealing can begin.

In games that use blinds, the first two players to the left of the dealer are required to play the small and big blinds respectively. In most cases, the value of the small blind is agreed upon before the game starts. The value of the big blind is typically twice that of the small blind.

In games that use antes, on the other hand, all players are required to put a predetermined amount into the pot at the start of the game.

The deal

The dealer gives each player five face down cards. Each player can then either place their first bet (which should either match or beat the current bet amount) or fold depending on the cards that they were dealt.

In games that use blinds, whoever is seated to the left of the big blind is the first player to act. In ante games, on the other hand, the player to the dealer’s left always goes first. Action then continues in a clockwise manner, with the dealer position moving one seat to the left after each hand is done.

In cases where all but one player folds this early in the game, the remaining player automatically wins the pot. Otherwise, the game continues.

The draw

All remaining players can, at this point, exchange some of their cards for new ones – starting from the first player to the left of the dealer and then moving clockwise from player to player around the table – in hopes of building stronger hands. The total number of cards that can be traded varies from game to game. Some games allow players to replace all their cards while others implement a three-card limit.

After the draw, the players can then choose to place their second bets (which, again, should either match or beat the current bet amount) or fold based on how strong their final hand is.

Again, there needs to be at least two active players for the game to continue to the next stage. Otherwise, the single remaining player wins the pot by default.

The showdown

Whoever is left after the second round of betting is required to compare their hand to those of all the other active players. The player with the best hand wins the pot. If there is a tie, then the pot gets split evenly among all the winners.

Casino Poker Rules

The 10 Commandments of Casino Poker

Casino Poker Rules

Get casino-ready here

If you’ve been playing poker for a while but only at home, then you may not be ready to join your first casino game yet. Don’t worry, though, because we’ve prepared a short list of casino poker dos and don’ts to help you get started.

Check it out below:

Commandment #1: Thou shall observe the table stakes

Unlike the poker games you play with your buddies at home where you can pretty much bet as much money (or even items when you run out of cash) as you want, live games held in an actual casino’s poker room typically come with table stakes that limit the total amount of money you can bet to the number of chips you have.

Once you go all-in (i.e., put all of your chips into the pot), you’ll only qualify for whatever amount is in the pot at that time. All succeeding additional bets will be put in a separate side pot, which you will not qualify for even if you end up winning the hand.

Commandment #2: Thou shall wait thy turn

Do not make your move until the player to your right completes theirs. Acting out of turn could prompt other active players to switch to a more advantageous strategy or force them into a disadvantageous position.

Commandment #3: Thou shall not string bet

String betting is the act of placing your bet and raise one after the other. The only time you can do this is when you verbally announce of your intent to raise before making your move.

Commandment #4: Thou shall keep track of the bet amounts

A player that doesn’t do so could easily disrupt the flow of the game by having to constantly ask.

Commandment #5: Thou shall not throw thy chips in

Just put your bet front of you instead. Let the dealer take care of putting it into the pot after they’ve verified that you bet the correct amount.

Commandment #6: Thou shall protect thy cards

In casino games, the responsibility of protecting each card falls on the players. It’s each player’s job to not only keep their hand hidden from everyone else prior to the showdown, but also to make sure that their cards don’t get mixed in with those of other players, which could result in a hand being declared dead.

Commandment #7: Thou shall let the dealer declare the winner

Don’t prematurely throw your cards in just because another player has declared that they have a better hand than yours. Wait until the dealer has made the call, just in case the apparent winner has accidentally (or purposely) misread their hand.

Commandment #8: Thou shall keep thy emotions in check

Anything you do – whether verbal or physical – that the dealer deems offensive, threatening or inappropriate could merit some sort of penalty, or, in extreme cases, even ejection from the game.

Commandment #9: Thou shall play fewer hands

Unlike a raffle where the more entries you put in, the more chances you have of winning, poker actually rewards players who play fewer hands.

Think about it. The more weak hands you play, the more money you lose. What you should do, instead, is to only play whenever promising starting hands pop up and just fold whenever they don’t.

Here’s a quick guide to the best starting hands in Texas Holdem in case you need a little guidance.

Commandment #10: Thou shall not play exhausted

While you’d be hard-pressed to find actual poker rules that explicitly prohibit players from playing for hours on end, it’s still a good idea to quit once you start feeling tired because that’s when you begin to lose focus and make mistakes – which isn’t something you want to happen while playing with and for money.

Bonus Commandment: Thou shall keep practicing

Even though knowing all of the things we’ve covered so far would definitely help you get better at casino poker, it still wouldn’t beat good old-fashioned practice when it comes to improving your skills. The good news, however, is that there’s an ultra-convenient way of getting all the practice you need: online real money poker at SafeClub.com.

Batman Ninja Movie Review (2018)
Batman Ninja review. John takes a few minutes to review and discuss the new animated film BATMAN NINJA. Batman Ninja takes a journey across the ages as Gorilla Grodd's time displacement machine transports many of Batman's worst enemies to feudal Japan - along with the Dark Knight and a few of his allies. The villains take over the forms of the feudal lords that rule the divided land, with the Joker taking the lead among the warring factions. As his traditional high-tech weaponry is exhausted almost immediately, Batman must rely on his intellect and his allies - including Catwoman and the extended Bat-family - to restore order to the land, and return to present-day Gotham City.

When you sit down to play online poker, you have no idea who you're betting. And because everybody can conceal behind a computer screen, collusion is possible. We're discussing 2 or more poker players working together to take money from another player and win more pots. On the surface, it appears easy to do. Visit from different IP addresses and play at the exact same table. However safe poker websites use complex algorithms and anti-fraud departments to find irregular play amongst players and root out the cheaters.

These very first couple paragraphs I summarize why poker is viewed as 'unsafe'. Below, beginning in the 3rd paragraph, are my safe suggestions (10+ years in this wild trade). In July 2010, HR2267 was introduced and since then lots of other expenses to manage poker by Federal U.S. government were popularized. None have actually passed the Feds yet however state governments New Jersey, Delaware, Nevada and Pennsylvania up until now, have penned poker legal online. When a Federal bill eventually passes the capacity, Senate, and signed into law by the President, totally legal online poker, licensed and regulated in the United States, will be right around the corner and not just by a couple of states on a state-by-state basis.

Play Better Texas Holdem Poker: Rules, Card Mechanics and Hand Rankings

Poker Rules Chart

Primary objective

The main goal of Texas Holdem is to have the best five-card hand among all active players come showdown time (i.e., the point in the game where each player’s hand is revealed) and win the pot (i.e. total amount of accumulated bets at the end of the game).

Basic rules

Instead of a long narrative, how about we provide you with a cheat sheet instead so you can get into the game more quickly?

Item Rule
Choosing the Dealer Any player can be assigned as the dealer at the start of the first hand by putting a marker called a button in front of them on the table.

The dealer position then moves one seat to the left after each hand is completed.

Posting of Blinds The first two players to the left of the button are tasked with posting the small and big blinds respectively.

The amount of the big blind is usually the same as the lower value in $X/$Y, while the small blind is half of that.

Actions Every time a card is dealt to a player or is revealed on the table as part of the community cards, each player gets the option to do any of the following:
· Check – pass, provided no one else has placed a bet
· Fold – take themselves out of play to cut their losses
· Call – match the current bet amount
· Raise – bet more than the current bet amountKeep in mind, however, that a player may only take action during their turn, and verbal declarations are binding.
Proper Conduct Offensive, inappropriate or disruptive behavior could merit penalties or ejection from the game, especially in tournaments and non-casual casino games.

Players are also expected to protect their cards at all times. Prematurely exposing one’s hand or having one’s cards mix in with those of another player typically results in the hand being declared dead.

Card mechanics

There are five basic things to remember when it comes to this subject:

  1. Texas Holdem uses a single standard deck of 52 cards.
  2. Aces can be used either as high or low cards in a straight (which is a type of poker hand).
  3. Suits don’t affect the strength of the hands in any way. They’re just used to identify flushes (which are another kind of poker hand).
  4. A valid hand consists of five cards.
  5. The community cards, as the name implies, are shared by all active players.
