One of the stranger comic-book characters to get their own feature film has to be Ant-Man. That obscure strangeness didn’t stop the first Ant-Man film from taking in nearly $500 million at the box office on a $57 million dollar opening weekend. Well, they must have done something right because the sequel, Ant-Man And The Wasp has just jumped 35% over the first film’s opening weekend to take in just over $76 million and grab the #1 spot at the box office over The Incredibles 2 which took in $29 million and wrestled the #2 spot away from Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. Speaking of Fallen Kingdom, the dinosaur film took in another $28.5 million and crossed over the billion dollar mark worldwide. In the 4th spot is The First Purge which made $17.1 million, and rounding out the top 5 is Sicario: Day of the Saldado making $7.3 million.
