The Top Gun sequel has been in the news a lot recently with production starting on the film and the addition of Val Kilmer returning to the role of Ice Man. Now we can more casting news as it has been confirmed that actor Miles Teller has been selected to play the role of Goose’s son. As most of you will remember Goose (played by Anthony Edwards) was Maverick’s best friend and co-pilot until he died in an aerial exercise accident. From Coming Soon, Top Gun 2 is said to be set in a world of drone technology and fifth generation fighters along with exploring the end of the era of dogfighting. Joseph Kosinski, who previously directed Cruise in Oblivion, will helm the sequel, with Peter Craig, Justin Marks and Eric Warren Singer penning the script. Although the title Top Gun: Maverick floated around briefly, the film is currently without an official title.
